Bloc 7 was created out of necessity. In 2018, I designed and proposed a waterproofing solution for a Minneapolis homeowner that was too expensive. The company I worked for was Union and could not provide competitive pricing in the residential market. The next year, after many attempts to find a contractor, the homeowner contacted me with the same issue. It was evident that the complexity of this project required a higher skill set. To lower the labor cost, I proposed doing the work on the side. Since the project carried some risk, the homeowner asked me to obtain insurance requiring the registration of an LLC.
From 2006 to 2020, I helped build a Union Waterproofing company from the ground up. Through those 14 years, I learned best trade practices through hands-on experience while gaining an in-depth understanding of business operations.
My intent with Bloc 7 is to provide cost-effective waterproofing-solutions utilizing experience and creativity. Combining an understanding of exterior contracting with an appreciation for trade expertise, Bloc 7 will partner with specific architects, engineers, and contractors to offer full-service exterior solutions.
It is my belief that great work is done by those who do the work. I trust those who are honest and tell you what you need to hear especially when it is difficult. This is how I conduct myself in life and business. I agree, not the best way to end an about page, but I am interested in working for and with you as long as the objective is solving the problem effectively.
